Coracina caesia

Grey Cuckooshrikes are found over most of the southern half of Africa. In South Africa it is found along the eastern regions of the country from the Western Cape through to Limpopo.

They are found in habitats with a lot of trees such as coastal and montane forests as well as bushveld.

The Grey Cuckooshrike eats insects and spiders and can be seen skulking around the canopy of trees looking for food.

They make their bowl-shaped nest from lichen and spider web in the fork of a tree. 1 or 2 eggs are laid and both parents tend to the eggs and young.
