The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 649
Is it possible to make your own aircon for your caravan? According to the cover of the latest issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life it is possible, and it is cheap, light and cool. There are plenty of other interesting sounding articles on the cover of the magazine so off I go.
The main article is about a camping trip in the Overberg region of the Cape. It begins with an interesting anecdote of how the author had bought a 1984 Land Rover 110 camper and was pulled off the road by a driver in a Freelander. Was it road rage? No, it turns out the Freelander driver had actually built this camper many years before. There’s a coincidence right there. By the way the rest of the article makes for good reading as well.
I like the look of the new Sensation Anee caravan although it is rather large. This double-axle caravan has got plenty of features inside and outside. It even has separate toilet and shower compartments. Very nice!
The big news in this issue is the launch of the new Toyota Hilux bakkie. Looking at the review you can see why this bakkie has always been a South African favourite.
There’s lots more inside so I am going to take my time to read and enjoy.
