The Wildebeest's Review of SA Country Life Issue 250
The cover of this month’s issue of South African Country life is one of the most interesting I have seen! It features three people, who have lost their minds, photographing the sand in the desert.
As usual the Image Club includes some really great photos with the first prize winning pic of a hippo being particularly good. What a shot!
Articles on the towns of Swellendam, Lydenburg and Philadelphia follow. The contributors to the magazine really manage to find picturesque shots of these towns that you don’t see when you just drive through.
Referring back to the cover there is an article explaining all the attractions to be encountered and felt in the desert. It doesn’t, however, explain why people would want to lie on the hot sand and look, or photograph, who knows what.
So thanks for another absorbing issue of one of my favourite magazines.
