The Wildebeest's Review of Wild Magazine Issue 38

The Wildebeest reviewing a book

The perfect antelope. That’s how the cover of the Autumn issue of Wild Magazine describes the Impala. I tend to agree. I love Impala and if they weren’t so boringly common in Kruger National Park then visitors would actually take notice of them.

Before getting to the Impala article, I enjoy one on Tsitsikamma. This beautiful area has something for everyone. The photo’s do it justice and it’s an enjoyable read.

Next up, after the lovely Impalas, is the Drakensberg. The article covers Lotheni, Kamberg, and Giant’s Castle which are some of my favourite escapes.

The last article that I want to mention in this rather short review of this edition is the one on tracker Pokkie Benadie. I wish I had a fraction of the skills of the trackers in our beautiful game reserves. Then I too would see the story etched into the sand as I walk along...
