The Wildebeest's Review of "Eagle Days" by Peter Steyn

The Wildebeest reviewing a book

This is an interesting publication by Peter Steyn, an expert on African birds of prey. The book has 10 chapters with each one focusing on a particular species or group of species in the case of Snake Eagles. The book is subtitled “A study of African eagles at the nest” and that is exactly what it is. Don’t let the word “study” put you off; this is an easy book to read and digest.

One thing that comes through time and time again is Peter’s love for these magnificent birds. He is passionate about them, and it comes through in the text. The book has numerous black and white photographs as well as some colour photos.
