The Wildebeest's Review of "African Wildlife - Vol 38 No 3"

The cover of this edition of African Wildlife brings back many memories of the devastating floods caused by cyclone “Demoina.” KwaZulu-Natal, as well as Swaziland and southern Mozambique, were rocked by the raging rivers. High-level bridges over the White iMfolozi River were totally destroyed cutting a lot of people off from their work and businesses. It was a tragic event where many lost their lives.
While this issue focused on Demoina there were other articles on a variety of subjects such as the African Fish Eagle, Bryde’s Whale, Elephants in Cape Town and more. One nice feature of the African Wildlife magazines was the colour paintings of mammals, plants, butterflies etc. Sponsored by various enterprises. They were a very welcome addition to these magazines.
