Review of "African Wildlife International Edition - Vol 35 No 5"
This issue of African Wildlife dedicates a lot of space to the pressures that humans are placing on the environment and what, if anything, can be done about it. The population is expanding and space on the land masses on this planet is limited.
I love the photo of the Valley of Desolation on page 14 and its good news to hear that this important area has now been made a reserve.
As mentioned already the focus is on conservation issues and there are number of articles dedicated to various challenges. Under the article entitled “The need for a National Plan” there is a hint of a need to curb population growth which is surely dangerous ground.
As I often mention I particularly enjoy the sponsored pages featuring wildlife art. The conservation topics are necessary, but I love reading about, and seeing pictures and artwork of, nature in all its glory.
