The cover of this month’s issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life indicates that this issue is going to be a good read. There are tips for travelling in Mozambique, building your own trailer, exploring the Midlands Meander and, my favourite, “All a Mum needs to know about Camping.”

To us Durbanites the Midlands Meander is often seen as a pleasant day trip on a weekend. If we plan to stay anywhere, we are happy to go a bit further to the Berg. It turns out that they are plenty of places along the Midlands Meander and many of them have great scenery to enjoy.

The article on building your own trailer was interesting but well beyond my technical skills. I always admire people who look at a bit of equipment and think “I could build that.” I prefer buying things that are ready to go!

As always this issue is great value as it is packed with articles on a wide variety of topics.
