The Foam Nest Frog is sometimes called the Southern Foam Nest Frog.
This frog can grow to a maximum length of 9 cm but most are smaller.
The Foam Nest Frog spends a lot of time in trees that overhang water. The fingers on its front legs have evolved to enable it to climb better. There is a pair of fingers pointing in opposite directions.
The pair lay their eggs in a nest made of foam on a branch above the water. When the eggs hatch the tadpoles drop into the water.
