Wolwespruit Nature Reserve is a small reserve on the Vaal River near the town of Leeudoringstad. It covers an area of 2,330 hectares.

This reserve is popular with anglers with Yellowfish being the sought after catch. The rapids in the river make a good place for the use of fishing lures and flies.

Wolwespruit is also a popular venue for hiking. There are various mammals to be seen including Black Wildebeest, Burchell's Zebra and Kudu. Birders will also have plenty of species to look for.

There are some rustic camping sites in Wolwespruit Nature Reserve as well as one cottage.
