The summer edition of Wild has arrived. This is issue number 25, and the cover picture is an African Penguin springing out the water. I notice that there is an article on swimming with penguins.

The first article features five quieter beaches kicking off with the well-known Boulders Beach where you can get to swim with penguins. Other beaches include Kraalbaai, Goukamma, Dias Beach and Kogel Bay.

The article on the Waterberg and Cederberg mountains is really great with some nice photographs. After the joy of the mountain scenery, you are brought back to earth with an article on rhino poaching. I wish that there was a way to stop this once and for all. It is an emotional subject and gets my blood boiling.

Another article worth reading is the one entitled “Down under” which reminds one that the big furry creatures such as lions and leopards are not the only things worth looking for in your favourite game reserve.

Another solid edition of Wild magazine which will get you dreaming about travel.
