The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 652
What’s inside this month’s issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life magazine I wonder to myself as I settle down for a first read. The cover features a picture of an Isuzu double-cab bakkie with a Palomino pop-up tent on the back. I look forward to seeing how that works out.
The letters page is always interesting and carries a mix of campers good and bad experiences. Next up are some new gadgets on the market and some industry news. Now for the article related to the cover picture.
The author did a trip from Cape St. Francis to Baviaans Lodge and then to Knysna and found lots to see and do along the way. The Palomino pop-up tent is imported from the USA and is not your average tent. It is electronically operated which includes the legs that come down and raise the tent so that you can drive your vehicle and leave the tent behind.
On a whole different scale to a pop-up tent is the Mercedes-Benz custom motorhome featured later in the mag. It’s very nice but comes at a price!
That’s just a taste of what you will find in this issue. See you next month.
