The Wildebeest's Review of Wild Magazine - Issue 4
The Spring 2008 issue of Wild Magazine has arrived with a beautiful photo of a Candelabra Flower on the cover. I am really enjoying my Wild magazine! This issue has 72 pages crammed with great photos and articles and relatively few adverts. That’s my kind of magazine.
I am not a serious hiker and am definitely not a climber, but I have always enjoyed visiting the Drakensberg. This issues park in the spotlight is the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg and the article really does it justice. I don’t think that you can visit this park too often.
Next up is an article on animal intelligence which makes interesting reading. Some species of mammals and birds come up with ingenious solutions to solve their everyday problems. Another article that caught my eye was the one on frog calls. I just wish frogs were easier to see and photograph.
All in all, there is a lot of good reading in this issue. If you aren’t a Wild Card holder, I suggest you become one, so you get the magazine as well as free entry into many of South Africa’s great national and regional parks.
