Northern Cape

The town of Nieuwoudtville is well-known as a destination for people wanting to see the stunning spring flowers. The surrounding countryside is semi-arid and receives its 200mm of rain in winter. Summers are very hot.

Nieuwoudtville is also known for the nearby Nieuwoudtville Waterfall, the Quiver tree "forest", birding and hiking.

Other places to visit include the Historical Sandstone Ruins, Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve, Nieuwoudtville Wildflower Reserve and the Hantam National Botancial Garden.

There are plenty of places to stay in the area incl;uding Bed and Breakfasts, Lodges and Guest Houses.
