Rustenburg is a city in the North West province of South Africa. It is situated at the foot of the Magaliesberg Mountain Range. The Kgaswane Mountain Reserve is a great place to visit and is just a short drive from the city centre.
Rustenburg was founded in 1851 with the fertile farmlands attracting lots of boer settlers. Today the city is well-known for the nearby platinum mines.
The city experiences a warm climate with hot summers and mild winters.
Rustenburg is situated near a number of tourist attractions. Amongst these are Sun City, Pilanesberg National Park, the Magaliesberg Mountains, Olifantsnek Dam and Kgaswane Mountain Reserve.
