Kgaswane Mountain Reserve scenery

The Kgaswane Mountain Reserve is situated on the outskirts of Rustenburg in North West province. It offers stunning scenery and is a great place to escape from city life.
The rugged mountains are part of the Magaliesberg Mountain range.
Although it is not a great reserve for game-viewing there are some mammals to be seen including Burchell's Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Blesbok and Mountain Reedbuck. The reserve has a breeding herd of Sable Antelope.
An impressive list of over 300 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve including Cape Vulture, Verreaux's Eagle and Martial Eagle.
Kgaswane Mountain Reserve is popular amongst mountain bikers and is sure to test your fitness. There are also hiking trails and picnic areas.
