T.C. Robertson is a 60 hectare nature reserve on the edge of Scottburgh. It is on the south bank of the Mpambanyoni River.
There are a number of trails that lead through various habitats including grasslands, forest, riverine and wetlands. The main attraction in the reserve are the birds but it also is known for its wild-flowers in spring.
There is a small entrance fee payable on entering the reserve and then one drives a short distance to the picnic sites. From here you can follow one of the trails.
Birders will find plenty to look for as around 180 species have been recorded in the reserve. The list includes African Fish-Eagle, Yellow Weaver, Golden-rumped Tinker Barbet, Spotted Ground-Thrush, African Goshawk and Black Sparrowhawk.
With the variety of habitats in T.C. Robertson there are also a wide variety of trees to be found. The list is currently around 80 species, some of which have been re-introduced to the area.
