N'wanetsi picnic spot is located about 25 km east of Satara Camp in Kruger National Park. It has the advantage of being reached via two of the best game viewing roads in the park - the S100 dirt road and the H6 tar road.

The picnic site is quite simple and rustic but has toilets and braai areas. One can also take a walk up the hill to the view site which offers great views over the surrounding bushveld. The picnic site itself is higher than the area to the west and one can sit, relax and look for game down below.

Game viewing is good in the area and it is particularly good for Lion and Leopard. There are also good numbers of other game such as Giraffe, Burchell's Zebra, Blue Wildebeest and Waterbuck. Elephant, Spotted Hyena and Cape Buffalo may also be seen. With a bit of luck you may even come across a pack of Wild Dogs.
