The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 632
What does the latest issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life have between its covers this month. I am about to find out. The cover has me a little confused as it mentions that the Jeep Cherokee 3.2 Auto is tested but the cover picture is of a shiny silver SUV with a star on its radiator grill.
The lead article features the Mercedes ML 400 is on a trip to the Karoo. I notice a quote whereby the author claims to easily pick up the scent of food in the Karoo has me pulling out last month’s copy of the magazine. Sure as nuts he said the same in the previous issue. Same trip but different vehicle? If you are planning a trip to the Karoo, then I strongly suggest you take copies of this article as well as last month’s article. Between the two there is a wealth of information that will make planning your trip a breeze.
While on the subject of epic road trips there is also an article on a road trip from Randburg to Namibia. The caravan of choice for this trip was a Tourer SW. The places where the author stayed are like a dream come true for lovers of wildlife and the outdoors. I was also introduced to the Poop-a-falls. This is a toilet located high up on a platform. If you have an urgent need for the loo you are probably not going to make it climbing up to this toilet.
