The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 665
Caravan and Outdoor Life magazine is once again venturing beyond South Africa’s borders with an article on Botswana. Places visited include Kwa Nokeng, Chobe, Nata and Makgadikgadi. This sounds like a dream trip and the author used a Fiat Fullback Double-cab towing a Conqueror Camping Trailer. The article highlights some of the many game-viewing highlights experienced on the trip.
The next trip article is of one to Mossel Bay where the author stayed at Diniki and De Bakke Santos resorts. Both resorts are well known and worth a visit. The trip was done in a small Serai Weekender caravan which proved up to the task although the reviewer did have a few reservations.
The VW Amarok bakkie has slowly been making inroads into the South African bakkie market. It is not an easy task given how fanatical a lot of South Africans are about their favourite bakkies. As you would expect the Amarok is very well equipped and has a 3.0 litre V6 engine. That is going to provide plenty of towing power.
Lots more to enjoy in the rest of the magazine. Enjoy it.
