The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 667 - Oct 2017

The Wildebeest reviewing a book

Two great subjects are the focus of the October 2017 issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life magazine. First there is the spring flowers and the second in the World’s biggest caravan show. Both are appealing to me for totally different reasons.

The Caravan Salon took place in Germany and offered equipment us South Africans can only dream about. The new RVs are always of interest to me although I cannot see myself ever owning one. What a fantastic range of new equipment was on show.

Back to local news and we have an article on enjoying the spring flowers. When doing a flower trip, it is good to be mobile as ideally you want to visit multiple locations. I also think that a flower trip requires simpler vehicles than what was on show in Germany. Somehow those large, fancy RVs and caravans don’t quite fit in with our spring flower spectacle.

There are a number of other interesting articles in this issue including a trip circling Lesotho and resort reviews. If you are in the market for a new towing vehicle, check out the review of the Isuzu KB 250 X-Rider 4x2 double-cab. It looks awesome.
