The Wildebeest's Review of Caravan and Outdoor Life - Issue 654
It is September and the latest issue of Caravan and Outdoor Life magazine is in my hooves. What is of interest this month? If you read last months issue of the mag you would have come across part 1 of an article entitled “Toughing it Out – East vs West.”
The first part of this article dealt with places along the eastern part of South Africa so now it is the turn of the western area. This month covers the journey from Bloemhof Dam to Upington, Augrabies Falls then back to Upington, Mokala National Park ending in Johannesburg. The tow car used was a Toyota Hilux DC 2.8 GD-6 4x4 Raider AT. Who thinks of these model designations?
This moth resort reviews feature River of Joy in the Free State and Diamante in Gauteng. Both look like pleasant resorts. Something that I notice in all recent issues of this magazine is that there are more and more small (tiny?) caravans becoming available. This month there is a review of the XCamper which has a somewhat futuristic look about it.
Go get your copy and enjoy the read.
