Northern Cape
Rolfontein Nature Reserve is a small game park, occupying 8,400 hectares, that borders on the southern shore of the Vandderkloof Dam in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It is close to the towns of Petrusville and Vanderkloof.
The reserve stocks quite a variety of game including White Rhino, Eland, Burchell's Zebra, Springbok, Gemsbok and Brown Hyena.
There is a 22 km road network in the reserve and good sightings can normally be had on the "Springbok Flats". Visitors can also tackle the 4 km Pied Barbet hiking trail that leads through the rugged and hilly terrain. There is accommodation available in the reserve two overnight huts that can be used by hikers.
