The Wildebeest's Review of Wild Magazine - Issue 49
The cover depicts a rather tranquil scene of some people paddling across a section of the Orange River. Little did we know as we read this issue of Wild Magazine that two major events were just around the corner. The first was the arrival of the Covid pandemic which, I suppose, led to the second which was that this turned out to be the last issue of this excellent magazine.
The feature article in this issue describes various activities that one can do in the remote |Ai-|Ais/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park. I personally haven’t been there, but it is definitely on my bucket list! If you have wedding plans for the future, you will enjoy the article entitled “Yours forever” which describes some “romance travel” destinations.
I enjoyed the article on identifying Reedbuck and Rhebok. It really is an interesting and informative article and one that you should read even if you are confident that you know the difference.
There is plenty more of interest in this issue. It is really just a pity that it is the last....for now.
