Lambert's Bay calls itself the 'diamond of the West Coast', with lobsters, wildlife and beautiful beaches being the attraction.

The town is named after Rear-Admiral Sir Robert Lambert who surveyed the area and other parts of the west coast in the early 1800's.

The town was established where the Jakkal's River flows into Lambert's Bay, with the initial development being a fish canning factory established by Axel Lindstrom.

The area has abundant birdlife.
