Cape Town is the largest city in the Western Cape and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Africa. It is a beautiful place, with Table Mountain as its backdrop, and it offers a wide variety of tourist attractions including the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The Western Cape has many other natural attractions including whale-watching, beautiful nature reserves, mountains and beaches. It is an important wine growing area and visiting the many wine farms is a popular activity. Some of the best wines in the world are produced in the region and are available for you to sample.
The Western Cape is a dream destination for tourists. This province has played an important role in the history of South Africa and there are many places of historic significance for you to visit on your tour. Amongst these are Robben Island and the Castle of Good Hope.
The Western Cape has amazing scenery ranging from beautiful beaches to rugged coast lines to towering mountains. There is a good road network to get you where you want to be. Whether you choose to drive north up the West Coast from Cape Town, or inland to the Karoo or along the southern coast line there are plenty of interesting places to visit.
