Let’s see what the winter issue of Wild Magazine has between its covers. I am looking for some inspiration for some summer trips so what will it recommend.

The first article that catches my eye is on our national mammal the Springbok. It is an interesting piece that is illustrated with some superb photographs. Speaking of photo’s, I must say that the photo’s of sleeping animals in the article “Catching zzzzz” are great as well.

Time to start reading about destinations for the next summer. The information in “Break time!” is just what I am looking for. Short reviews of reserves such as Augrabies, Goukamma, Bontebok, Karoo and others gets me planning. I am overdue a trip to the Karoo National Park so that could be part of my plans.

Plenty of other great articles fill this magazine which will give you a few enjoyable hours of reading on a winter’s evening.
